The Art of True Soapmaking
Born in Taygetus.
Our soaps are handcrafted using the cold-process method, in small batches and with an unwavering focus on the quality of every ingredient.
We combine olive oil, coconut butter, cocoa butter, shea butter, St. John’s wort oil, helichrysum oil, yarrow oil, rockrose oil and calendula oil, together with selected herbs from Mount Taygetus.
At the heart of every formulation is water from the mountain’s natural springs — our own “living water,” a symbol of our direct connection to the land.
Each bar of soap is the result of nature, knowledge and time.
No mass production.
No rushing.
Only what truly matters.
Water from Natural Springs
Water is one of the fundamental elements of soapmaking.
We choose water from the natural springs of Mount Taygetus, bringing yet another authentic element of the land into our creations.
We call it “living water” — not as a scientific term, but as an expression of its natural origin and of our connection to the mountain.
Cold-Process Soapmaking
Cold-process soapmaking is a traditional method of creating true soap.
Plant oils and butters are combined with sodium hydroxide and, through the natural chemical process of saponification, are transformed into soap.
The process takes place at relatively low temperatures, allowing us to create carefully considered and more complex formulations with botanical oils, herbs and extracts.
Naturally Occurring Glycerin
During saponification, glycerin is naturally produced.
In our soaps, it remains an integral part of the final product, contributing to a gentle and pleasant cleansing experience.
At the same time, a small percentage of the precious botanical oils remains unsaponified, allowing each formulation to retain its own balanced and nurturing character.
The Scent of Nature
Our soaps are scented exclusively with 100% natural essential oils.
We do not use synthetic fragrances.
Essential oils are natural, volatile and dynamic by nature. Over time, their aroma may evolve and become more subtle.
To us, this natural change is not an imperfection.
It is part of their authenticity.
Colours from Natural Ingredients
The colours of our soaps come from clays, herbs, spices, coffee, cocoa, fruit and vegetable juices, as well as selected mineral pigments.
We do not strive for absolute uniformity.
Natural shades may vary slightly over time and from batch to batch.
And that is part of their beauty.
Nature does not create copies. Neither do we.
Time Is Part of the Recipe
After each soap is made and cut, it is left to cure for at least two months.
During this period, it gradually develops its final texture, hardness and character.
We do not rush time.
We allow it to complete what we have begun.
We believe in the beauty of simplicity.
In the value of quality ingredients.
In the power of nature.
In giving things the time they need to be made properly.
That is why we create every bar of soap with care, knowledge and respect for the land that inspires us.
From Taygetus.
Made by our hands.
Given all the time it needs.
